She is now living as the prime minister’s daughter Gu Ming Yan and wife of the cold-hearted Second Prince, Duan Cheng Xuan. She learns he agreed to the marriage because Gu Ming Yan's blood can cure Duan Cheng Xuan's childhood friend from her illness. While not starting off seeing eye to eye, they gradually become attracted to each other. Gu Ming Yan becomes hesitant to accept her feelings knowing one day she may return back to her time.
