In the crowd, a teenage girl named Marie dances to his track selections, admiring him from afar. She is dealing with her own loneliness and lack of parental affection, and sees in him a kind of role model to follow. As they get to know each other, their wildly different lifestyles clash, but in their struggles they find common ground, and a escape from their deep loneliness and anxieties.
