With the death of the widow, Roberto marries his lover Helena and cheats Nico, the widow's legitimate son, out of the inheritance. Helena liquidates Roberto to be left alone, but the police discover everything and arrest Helena. Nico, the rightful heir, who has been begging in the gutter, finally takes possession of what is his.
