However, as he arrives in the mysterious town of Periphery, Texas, he begins to realize that the small desert community might not be what it seems. Encountering a farewell parade that sees one of Periphery's elderly citizens off to an unertain destination and a one-man welcome wagon named Peter who can only hint at the town's closesly guarded secret, James comes to learn that even when everything becomes clear, the best things in life can remain unexplained
